Hi my name is Emosa im today’s blog writer.
Today is the last day until January today is supposed to be a fun day were going to do P.E. and computers and silent ball and lots of others. Everybody is excited for Christmas. Some people are gone away already. Yesterday was our Christmas concert we song two songs one was jolly old st.nickolos and joy the world. The grade seven six’s did an awesome play it was so cool. Today should be one of the best days of the year. We might make paper mache for art that should be fun. I have nothing else to say so see you in January.

Merry Christmas

This week’s blog writers are Genna and Peyton. Today we are having our Christmas concert. I am really excited for it too. It is at 1:00 today in the gym. Our class is singing Jolly old St.Nickolas; and Joy to the world. It is also 5 day’s until Christmas. Peyton and I are working on Mr. Oakes ‘ long division rap’. It’s really cool. Our class is trying to beat Mrs. Burk. (She’s number one right now, on teacher tube) But so far we are doing really well. Also we are going to be starting the Cayoosh kidz radio. Our first dj’s are Emma and Bailey. It will be starting in January some time. We have been producing one or two Cayoosh kidz news castes a week, and it’s going really good. Peyton and I are sitting by our pet tranchala, Rosy and we think that she is trying to molt. Anyway we have to go now, bye and happy holidays, and have a merry, merry Christmas!

On the weekend I did lots of stuff. On Saturday I went swimming at the pool it was very fun I saw Frankie and Ely. I was about to leave I saw Dustan and asked if he could come over to my house and play. On Sunday I went to go swimming. But the plans got changed and we went for a walk to the R.E.C. and back home. I did lots of baking. On the weekend I did lots of stuff.

Today were going to be having an Assembly I don’t know what it’s going to be about but I got a good idea like honor board or recycling something like that. On the 20th were going to have a big Christmas concert I think there’s going to be a little play and the school is going to be singing songs it will be exciting. Until Christmas break we are having a food bank run were there’s boxes in the classrooms so the classmates can donate food into there the food will go to the friendship center and then people can pick it up from there which ever classroom donates most food gets a prize but the prize is secret. Christmas Concert Information

Hi this week’s blog writers are Genna. We will be talking about the Christmas concert coming up. It will be on December 20th at 1:00 pm. Parents are welcome to bring their children, also if possible bring a non-perishable food items for the food bank. Every year there are some people who don’t have food for Christmas. We thank every one who brings at least 1 thing. Also we will be talking about the snow. What’s with this sky? There’s so much, I even think there’s too much. There is at least a foot and a half. But anyway me, Bailey and Emma are having so much fun.

Hi this weeks blog writers are Terry & Michael and were writing about Rosie the tarantula. Rosie eats bugs and crickets but she doesn’t move around that much cause she/he lost her fangs. Mr. Oakes had Rosie for three years so far. Rosie is a brown and blackish color. Rosie is six years old. Mr. Oakes doesn’t know if Rosie is a girl or a boy. Rosie only has one web in her/him container. Mr. Oakes found Rosie at Kamloops.

Snow Day

Hi! This week’s blog writers are Genna and Sadie. This week we will be talking about the snow. Today we only had 9 kids in our class. Can you believe that! Also we went out side and barely got out. There is so much snow that kids that take the bus are stuck at home, because the snow is now 23cm. well that’s only this morning. Now it’s about 40cm, I am pretty sure. Hi I was born in Vancouver then I move to Bridge River I hade a great life there. I played with my friends then it was Dustins b-day we had fun. I met terry we use to be friends in preschool then we passed preschool then we went to different schools. I still remember him because we both lived in Bridge River then I moved to town up Victoria street then moved up to Red Rock then down to mcuin road I hade fun there. I moved again behind the joneses market at a yellow four Plax then to Texas creek. I’m staying there tell now. I still live there I’m in grade 5 now.

It sounded like a fog horn it was really funny. I had a lot of fun. I also got to try the coyote call. After we waited for the animals to come but none did. Ukuleles

Hi this weeks blog writers are Genna and Bailey. We will be telling you about playing ukuleles. We have been having a teacher come in every couple weeks and helping us play and learn the ukuleles. Ok well now it’s Genna talking. Like Bailey was saying, yeah the ukuleles are the best! I can finally play “ Ode to Joy”. (The song from Beethoven) that’s what the song that we are playing is called. It ‘s kind of hard like I never really knew, how to play it. I am so happy for myself! Well anyway lots of people are getting the hang of it. Well I guess I can give it back to Bailey, but I will be writing after. Don’t worry I will be back soon Ok this is Bailey now. Like I was saying, we will be talking about , the ukuleles.

Bird Watching

On Thursday we went bird watching in guided reading. We went through sleepy hollow to look for birds. It was really fun and we only saw a couple of crows and a towhee.

Grade Five to Raise Salmon

Soon Cayoosh will be getting some salmon eggs. They will be living in a fish tank by the office. They will be staying in the fish tank all winter. Then we will let them go where we found them in the spring. We care about the environment!

Hi this weeks blog writers are Bailey and Emma. We are going to write about the Cayoosh Kids Newz. Well yesterday we did the first ever to be alive Cayoosh kids Newz. It was really embarrassing. It looked like the news was horrible. It was so fun we got a little laughs in with it so it was funny. Mr. Oakes has to be the funniest man alive. And also Mr. Oakes gave us a piece of jewelry all the way from New Zealand. Mr. Oakes said that the Cayoosh kids Newz could beat the world’s best teacher (that is another funny film).

Hey, we’re the blog writers C and S and were supposed to tell about our classroom. We are working on a project on mosquito’s lives; we are probably going to dissect some of them. S has a friend mosquito named spider bug .. We just got out of an assembly I took the camera in the assembly. I took great pictures mr.Oakes was a great teacher for teaching me how to us a camera so that was easy to do. At lunch we were playing four square and then basketball. Cs favorite thing to do is biking he likes to take big jumps. My favorite thing is haunted ghost books.

Guided Reading

This weeks blog writers are Toni and Madison. This week we are talking about our new student. Her name is Shyla she is very nice and does not talk a lot. She made a lot of friends . I think she is in joying her time here. Now I’m going to talk about my guided reading group. In my group there are 3 boys and 3 girls. The boys are Conner, Jake and Stewart the girls are Shyla, Madison and Katie. The book we are reading is Rescue at Red Rock this is a good book. Now here is Toni! In my guided reading group we are reading buried in ice. It is a very good book. It’s about these people get stuck in the arctic. And in the middle of the book a guy dies from food poisons but he was sick already it just made him more sick. We haven’t finished it yet we won't be able to finish it because we are switching groups tomorrow. There is a thing where the higher grade kids can play soccer every recess. In art we did a fire fly.

years old in human and 20 in spider years. Now I’m going to talk about the world puzzle. We have this big puzzle that has Australia, Alaska Brazil, North America, U.S.A, Europe, Greenland and Japan there is a lot more but it would take all day to write them. I like to work on the puzzle as well as everybody else. Yesterday the class had buddy reading and we had lots of fun. We have a bull skull we call it THE BONE HEAD!!! What we do with the bone head is we changle another to a game of baseball or something like that and if we win we keep the bone head or if we lose we give the bone head to who ever we changed it is like a trophy. We have not been able to changle anybody yet but I hope we will changle someone soon!!! Today it is October 10 2007 and it is picture day I don’t really like getting my picture at all I don’t think anybody else likes picture taken eather. Now I am going to talk about Hurricane Gerttie . She was assume the school wishes that she will come back some time soon. The best part was when she was sleeping on some teachers that was so funny I loved that part!!! I took a lot of pictures. I have a friend named Genna she is not aloud type with me that sucks!! We have a couple of new teachers. They both teach kindertan that is cool. There is 28 students in my class that is a lot. Today we had guided reading we are reading wildlife photography. It is about a wildlife photographer.

I am one of the blog writers. This book is really good! So far I love it. I like it because it’s about a owl and her 3 baby owlets. The characters names are, Billy ,Mr.Miller and Bruce. Bruce and his friend Billy soon discover a baby owl’s nest and tell, Mr.Miller. When Billy rescues two young orphaned great horned owls and takes, them home ,he has no idea what he’s in for. Also Farley Mowat , is the best-selling author of over thirty-five books, including ‘lost in the Barrens,Never cry wolf, the dog who wouldn’t be , and the boat who wouldn’t float. Wol and weeps were real owls who lived with the mowat family in Saskatchewan. That’s all I can really say about Owls in the family. But one more thing, I hope you get to read this one day. It’s really good!!!

The New Crew

Hi my name is Madison I’m now my in grade five. Mr. Oakes is my teacher he is a really cool teacher. I like Mr. Oakes because he is fun to do sports with. He has a nice personality and he is really good at helping people like me and the class. Hi my name is Emma I’m in grade five now. I think Mr. Oakes is one of the best teachers I like him because he is fun and cool he teaches us some pretty good stuff he is probably the best P.E. teacher. For me Mr. Oakes is my best teacher I have ever had. News for this week it been a good week except we had vandalism on the school like they wrote bad stuff and broke the bells and bad stuff like that. Hi my name is Genna. I also am in grade five. I really like Mr. Oakes as a teacher. He is really funny ! I think he is the best teacher, but Mr. Lane and Mrs. Scallon are as well! We have a few new kids in our class ,Conner ,Dean, Max and Brandan. We all are making friends with them, and we are a big happy class.

Summer Time News

It is summer holidays and everyone is on vacation. I just returned back from a trip to Edmonton. The mountains were great, but the mosquitoes were terrible. We saw lots of animals, Bighorn sheep, elk, and a wolf.

And Then After The Movie We Are Going To Have Our Recess. After Recess. And Then We’re Going To Do Something I Don’t Know What Where Doing Though And Then We Have Lunch It’s A&W And Then After Lunch. We Have A Dance Ashley’s Sister Krissy She Is Like Our Music Person She Brined Some Music I Don’t Know What Kind Thought I Think She Has Akon Or Some thing Like That. The Dance Is Until 3:00 After School Its Going To Be A Awesome Dance. The Movie We Watched Is Very Interesting It’s About All These Things These Rocks Have All These Little Designs And Are About Sciences. After Our Dance Is Home Time And Then In 7 Days There Will Be No School! I Cant Until Next Week Because My Best friend Sheldon Might Come To Lillooet. And Then Children Will Be Able To Stay Up Until Might Night Or So Well If There Parents Let Them My Parents Will Let Me My Mom Lets Me Stay Up Until 5:00 In The Morning Well If Im Not Loud. Mountain biking is one of the best sports in the world. It is a sport that takes a lot of energy to do. There are many different styles of mountain biking. For example there is all mountain free ride, street and dirt. That is a few styles of mountain biking. I love to go mountain biking with my friends during the summer. You don’t have to have a really good bike to go out and ride. If you are into the jumping and getting air you should have a hard tail or full suspension. Mountain biking is one of the best sports in the world.

Today is the graduation for dare it is going to be at the George Murry. I am so exited and I think it will be so much fun, accept for the going up in front of their whole school. After lunch we are going to go on a bus. I really don’t like busses they always smell bad, so I will probably be holding my breath the whole time I am on the bus. And when we are on the bus someone will be handing out D.A.R.E t-shirts that we will have to were at the graduation. I am really exited!

Today is the last day of D.A.R.E. We are graduating today. It is at George M Murray. It is at 1:15p.m. Two people from George M and Cayoosh got picked to read their essays. Almost everyone wrote an essay. Everyone is dressed up for it. Our teacher is wearing a coat and tie. Some Girls are wearing skirts and some boys are gangster. We all get D.A.R.E t-shirts for our grad. Parents are going to the grad. Cst. Dudley and Mrs. Ralston will make a speech. Cst. Dudley will be dressed in a red suit. We will board the bus at 12:55 and 5 minutes later we are off to George M Murray.

Residential School

Residential school



When you are about five-years old you get taken away from your parents and sent to the residential school. Different churches the and the Canadian government controlled them. Sometimes they beat the children. The Canadian government didn’t like the first nation’s language because they thought their language was better, and that’s when they started taking the aboriginal people’s children away. They started putting them in the residential schools. At recess children where punished for speaking their language, I think. They had two months with there mother and father for the summer. They where only allowed to take a little bit of stuff cause kids only had a little cubby. You were only probably allowed to have a toothbrush, a hairbrush and maybe a little doll or toy or some thing. If you tried to runaway you would get punished. Even if you got hurt they would bring you to the doctor and then you would get put back in the school, there was no way out. They were not allowed to speak their own language. They were forced to give up their cultures. They had to wear uniforms. They had to do many jobs. At residential school you had to get up early in the morning.

News around the Town

There are a few things going on in town, the Fraser is still very high, but not as high as it was two weeks ago. You still have to boil the water because of the bacteria that found its way into the water. They closed the skateboard park so there was a big argument with the skaters and the police.

Today in math we did a review test. I only got to do one page though. We went for recess after that, we only got to play for only about 5 minutes and the bell rang because there was a bear outside of the school grounds and was about to come up inside of the school grounds. Mr. Oakes went to see it, but I think it already ran away before he could get to it. But the good part of it was that we got to go outside still after it was gone. Now I think our schedule will be a bit mixed up. Tomorrow I don’t think I will be at school because I have to go to Vancouver. I don’t really want to tell why but I will… I have to go to Vancouver for acting auditions, which is going to be really cool to experience… I have about six lines? Maybe 8? I hope I do well but I think I will. I remembered ALL my lines and actions… Well not really but I have to studies them a bit more. I am going to get really BAD car sick… L I get it all the time I ride in any moving thing like a car, truck, van, jeep or bus or anything like that. That’s the only part I do not like about traveling. We are also working on a movie called “Sorry isn’t enough!” I think we are going to begin shooting some scenes today. –Brittany

The Summer



What I am going to do on the summer. I am going to get my pool filled and I am also going to go to save my money and give it to my mom, because we spent $3,100 on things for the pool. The liner weighed 250 lbs we had to get that out of the van. It was weighing down the back of the van so we were dragging it out. I might go to the united stated with my nana. She is so nice she loves all my friends she was offering all my friends food from down town. I might also get some stuff from the United States for my new hamster

The summer

This summer I am going to many places. 1st I am going to bush camp. Then I am going to visit my dad. Then I am going to Kamloops to stay the night in a luxurious hotel. It is called the maverick. I like the Maverick. It has everything. That is why I like it. My mom and I have to share a bed most of the time. This is the seventh time I have been there or stayed there. It is life sometimes I wish I owned it. I am the worst impulse buyer. I love buying things most of the time if I don’t have enough I don’t ask my mom to buy it or any thing. I just get it next time. I don’t nag. I love the summer. Then I am going to lot. It is a Christen camp. I like that camp. I am going lots of places this summer.

Today in the morning we when we came in from outside we did a preview math test for propibleitys. We went for P.e we had to catch a ball we had a partner for this though. After P.e . We had recess. Recess we had guided reading and then we read cricket in time square we read up to page 97 and. After guided reading we had mural for what we are doing this summer. Won’t be here this summer I will be camping with my friends in 100-mile house. But anyway after the mural we had lunch and after lunch we are going to have homework to do. And we have D.A.R.E With Co. Dudley from the police station. If Co. Dudley isn’t here we have this different police officer named Co. Lawler he comes in if Co. Around The Town

There’s been quite a lot of news around the town. Scientist are saying that before you drink tap water, you have to boil it, so if you drink tap water be sure to boil it. The river has gotten very high, so high that it’s higher then it’s been in the 70’s. If you go out to some of the provincial campgrounds like Gott Creek and Cayoosh Creek, they’re already flooded, so be careful.

My Vacation

My Vacation

Our family went on a short vacation last week, first we went to Sechelt, we stayed with our step-dads parents Len and Judy, we stay for about three hours. We went for a bike ride, we saw there new RV which was very big, we went next door to a place were they make totem poles, we had lunch with our great aunt and uncle, my step-dad hadn’t seen them in thirty-three years. Then after we left for the ferry to Powell River. When we got to the terminal (which was very small) we had to wait till 12:30, when it finally got there we got on and left for Powell River. When we got there we were in a shock, it was way bigger then we expected it to be. First we went to our motel, which was very close to the pulp mill, so whenever we went anywhere we smelt cedar. On the first day all we did was look around we went to a sort of nick-knack shop, the lady that worked there was funny she spent the whole time we were there looking for inuksuks, but my mom had practically all of them. When we were shopping our dad was golfing.
When we got back to Lillooet we saw that the river was flooding.

The Weekend

On the weekend it was hot. So Ashley cleaned a pool. Katelyn had a water fight with Kelsey, Melissa, Mackenzie and Nikki. I also cleaned my bedroom. Two weeks ago I got a new bedroom. I am also moving my bedroom. I was putting things in boxes on Saturday. I am moving into my parent’s room, my sister is moving downstairs and my parents are moving into our old room. My pool is going to be set up soon because it is getting quite hot outside and the air conditioner is getting put in, that will make the house a lot cooler.

Opposite day
Today is opposite day. Some of the guys went too far. Take this guy in my class he has a mini skirt on. Don’t even get me started on the grade six students. I mean most of them are dressed o.k. But some went way to far its not even funny any more. Well it is kind of funny but only the least bit. The other person in grade 4/5 split class. Is his brother I don’t want to name names Do to a safety matter. Any way he is a girl I swear I mean come on, it is so yesterday. Most of some of the girls are dressed as boys it is so funny to watch the boys. They are squirming in their mini skirts. Well most of them. I personally am not dressed as a boy I think it is lame. Well not lame as much as tacky and or icky. Some of the boys have wigs on. It’s hilarious I mean I am cracking up just thinking about it. I have never dressed up for all of spirit week. I mean I chewed gum on hat and gum day but that’s it. Oh any way I am talking about opposite day. it was fun today. I like spirit week. Well it is historical. Well it is spelling right now. Oh not spelling science. We have science everyday at 10:40. I like our schedule. It’s nice for everyone. Of course not everyone likes science. For I myself don’t really like science. to me I like spelling I don’t know why I am just going on and on about what I like to you it is supposed to be about opposite day. Tweens
Tweens is a program for girls that are 10-12. You learn about things that you will go through very soon. I herd that it is very fun. I think almost all my friends will be there. The time is 3:30- 5:00 I think. This week we are learning about cosmetology. That means make up. I think we are going to learn how to put it on. I wonder what else we will be learning. I have wanted to go to tweens for a very long time. I have herd that at the end of tweens we get a lot of prizes. We also get many presents at the end of tweens. The best thing about tweens is that we can walk down to the place where tweens is. Tweens is a program for girls 10-12.

If I could give myself anything in the world I would give myself a contract. I would give myself a contract to be a famous actress and a singer. I would give it to myself because it is my dream. They would give it to me in Hollywood. They would give it to me at the movie set. I would be a star in their next big hit. They would give it to me at five o’clock. The producer would give it to me in an envelope. I would be very grateful and exited. Then I would get very rich. Then I could be in all the magazines. I could then go out and play my new song. This morning for math we did probabilities in math. After math we went outside to practice batting and pitching. Then we went outside for recess. Some of us play 4 square, play ground and some play anything they want to do. On the field there was people practicing baseball for the tournament. Then we came back inside and now we are reading cricket in time square. After we are going to guided reading. Then we are going to go out side for lunch. Lunch is just like recess outside lots of people play 4-square. And lots of people play extreme 4-square it’s when you can do powershotes and even hit it nicely. But the boys gang up on the girls and get us out a thousand times and even little kids on the primary side come. After we play we come inside and eat lunch some people get pizza pretzels and when they are waiting in line they do hang men and every body is guessing letters some would even yell out the whole alphabet. Crazy hair day


Today is crazy hair day. Crazy hair day is when everyone in the school makes their hair crazy. You don’t have to if you don’t want to but all of the kids on the intermediate side that’s grades four to seven are having a contest for the bonehead.

Hat and Gum day

Today is hat and gum day. It’s when everyone in the school gets to wear hats and chew gum. Some students’s from the student leadership come to every class and see how many people participated in the contest. Yesterday was nerd day and the grade 4 5s in the lead. Our class is third in the competition. Almost everyone wore a hat and everyone had gum in our class. Some people wore weird hats and some wore caps. I wore a pink cow hat with a flower on the front. Tomorrow is day at day.

Beetles

Today I have brought beetles for Rosy she is our class pet she is a tarantula. I think the beetles that I brought bite, because when I was carrying it to my room for the cage it bit me. It didn’t know at one point so I just got scared and I jumped. It was wired. They eat crickets and grass hoppers. Today I found out rosy hates beetles so I am keeping them.

Today
Today is Monday May 28, 2007 but it is also Nerd day. School started at 9:00 but we talked. So our day started at 9:05. The first thing we did was a Pre test on Patterns, Numbers, and Geometry in Math. The second thing we did was baseball in P.E. After recess we did word sorting. Then we went to guided reading. After that we marked math. After lunch we did homework than we did D.A.R.E.

Nerd Day
Today is May 28th 2007 but it is also Nerd day. Students if they want to can participate as dressing as a nerd. People have tucked in their shirts, carried text books, wore glasses, and pulled their pants way up, pulled their socks so they were touching their knees and a lot more. People even wore socks with sandals. Our teacher Mr. Oakes did it so did some other kids including me. Some people didn’t do it because they don’t like sprit week or just think people will not like them anymore. My friend and I think it is what is inside not on the outside. I hope people had fun with Nerd day. I am glad some people. But I still hope more people do Hat and gum day.

Richmond

My Family and I went to Richmond on Thursday May 24, 2007. My Dad, sisters
And I went to Vancouver and it wasn’t fun, cause my mom had to stay at the hotel for her
Workshop. And my dad, sisters and I went to Vancouver to go to Stanley Park to go to the aquarium,
And we went to the Parks and went to the pool to go down the water slide and swim around. My dad,
Sisters and I went back to the Hotel in Richmond. The hotel was called the Richmond inn.
On Saturday my dad, sisters and I went back to Vancouver and went on the sky train, science world,
And my sister lost her Kodiak digital camera. Catching the sky train was fun riding around Vancouver.
And I took pictures of GM Place (General Motors Place), science world and the sky train. My dad,
Sisters and I went to GM Place (General Motors Place) and went for a tour there and it was AWSOME!
GM Place is the Vancouver Canucks’s arena, that’s were they play hockey. Science world was cool,
It was fun and my dad, sisters and I enjoyed it. It has a hockey thing and I tried it and I had three shots
And I took three slap shots and I scored all of them with three shots. We went to the game room and played
Lots of fun games and we watched a movie how to eat fried worms at science world in the theatre room.
The movie was funny and we went back to the hotel, my family and I went to the outdoor pool to swim
Around, we were the only one there at the swimming pool. It was fun swimming at the swimming pool.
After swimming my family and I went to watch TV, we watched night at the museum it was a pretty
Good show. And on Sunday May 27, 2007 my family and I went to the Vancouver Giants game it was
awesome, It was the last game because it was the final game of the Memorial Cup the giants won the
Memorial Cup against the Medicine Hat and the score was 3 – 1 Vancouver giants. And my dad,
Sisters and I went on the sea bus twice. And going to the Greater Vancouver Zoo was even fun.
Going to Richmond was fun.

Bears
Bears are out at this time of then season. There are two kinds of bears around here. They are Grizzly and black bears around here. Black bears can be brown, blue, white, cinnamon, black, blond and possibly more. Grizzly bears can be black, brown and maybe more. You can tell between a grizzly or black bear because a grizzly has a hump on their shoulder. Black bears have very short tails. Grizzly bears live in the mountains and are very rare. (According to Mr. Oakes.) Black bears almost live a over Canada except Nunavut. They also live in the United States and north Mexico. Bears are out so be careful.

Today
Today is May 25, 2007. We started off with talking about our life for the first five minutes. The first thing we did was tilling patterns in Math. The second thing we did was watched a video Bear facts WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF AN ATTACK. At recess people played four square, two square, tag, or just talked. After recess we read cricket in time square and then we did a response journal on the cricket. Then we marked our homework package. In homework we marked writing, spelling, math, and reading. At 12:15 we went for lunchtime recess. People played baseball, tag, four square, two square, or just talked. We ate our lunches at 12:45. After lunch we recorded our marks for homework. At 1:30 we walked down for swimming. After swimming we went to Jonas Market. When we got back we read cricket at time square. Today is Friday May 25, 2007.

Grace and Rachel’s life

Our life is sweet most of the time but our parents can embarrass us. As a matter of fact today in Cayoosh Elementary, Rachel’s mother talked over our classroom intercom and tried to rap. Our school has an intercom but our teacher Mr. Oakes has his own intercom made out of old parts.

May Day

The May Day Parade


On May 21, 2007 there is a parade called the May Day parade. Lots and lots of people come to watch the parade. In the parade there is things like the interior savings Fat cat and kids ride on top of the fire tucks the though candy. Some of the kids decorate there bike and ride there bikes in the parade. Some parents with there kids watch the parade and some of the floats though some candy and the kids run and get the candy. Some grownups bring there old cars and drive them in the parade. The parade goes by the old folk’s home. One of the most important things in The May Day Parade is the May Queen. The May queen is a person who goes to teas and gatherings with the roil purple and the elks. The May Queen also has two princesses. Last year axles was the May queen2006 to 2007 and her princesses were Talien and Melissa. Jan is the may Queen of 2007 to 2008 and her princesses are axles and Alisha. Axles was the queen before so she has ton crown Jan as queen of the may. Than the May Day Parade is over. Next year I would like to be the May Queen. The Parade was a blast!!!!

My classroom door number is 18. The teachers name is Mr. Oakes. There are twenty-nine kids in the class. We have masks hanging from some pipes on the side of our classroom. Mr. Oakes desk is in a corner he has a computer, a shelf and that is all. We also have a classroom pet it is a spider her name is Rosie. There is some stuff to help us on our writing skills for example prepositions, adjectives, adverbs and nouns. A backroom is connected to our classroom and the four classroom. There is a microwave is at a corner. That is my classroom!!!!

We were studying crickets and we made a picture of one and labeled it. We also used a magnifine glass and looked at them up close. It was so fun and scary at the same time. It was so cool and they have two wings and hairy legs. They have a thorax ,a mouth, abdomen, antenna and wings. They also can be different colors like black, gray, and brown. They are really small and have large antennas bigger than their body. Some of them are different sizes. We all have to catch a cricket each I think so that will be so discussing. Crickets are scary and they don’t fly unlike grasshoppers. Crickets are weird. I am scared of crickets.

Today after the class came in from outside we started math. In math we are working on the last unit in our class math and the unit is on patterns in numbers and geometry. After math the class went outside for P.E. In P.E the class practiced catching and throwing. After the class practiced catching and throwing for about 15 minutes we started playing a game of baseball. And that game very fun. After the class came in from outside the bell rang and it was time to go outside for recesses .After we played outside for 20 minutes than the bell rang for us to go inside. The class started to work conjunctions. After we finished that we went to guided reading. After guided reading shared our sentences with conjunctions. After that we are going to go outside for lunch. After the bell rang we started to eat your lunches. After we eat your lunches some people go to there reading tutors. After the people get back from reading tutors the grade fives from Mrs.Scallons class come for French.

Today we did a pre-test on math. We went out side for p.e, we played baseball Getta’s team won. When we came in from recess we marked the pre-test on geometry. Also in guided reading a group of students did a video called massacre in the book room. Then this week there is going to be another video call nerd justice where there is two nerds on the monkey bar then a bully comes and the bullies them. Then a supervisor comes along and the bully get in trouble and goes to the principals office. The bully then goes out side and pick up garbage on the school grounds. Then right after lunch we work on homework, on homework we don’t have no more language arts. We just have spelling, writing, math and reading. Then we did dare where police officer comes to school and tells us about safety.

This weekend my family is going camping at a campground next to Green Lake (near 70 mile house). We’ve been there a few times last year, it was great. We might have one our friends and her family come for a while with there new trailer. Our family Camps a lot, we’ve been all over the place, we’ve been to 100 mile house, we camped by Spences Bridge, been by Kamloops and if you didn’t already get that, we love camping.

Today we started out with some math we were doing our pretest. Then we went out to go play some baseball for P.E. It was fun!! Then we had recess. After that we marked our pretest so that we can take it home to practice for our actual test tomorrow. We watched a movie right after that. Some students that were in Mr. Oakes guided reading group made it. And this week my group gets to make a movie it is called Nerd Justice .I think it is going to be a good movie. So then we did guided reading then my group went to work on our movie that we are filming. Then we went out for lunch. Once we got inside we started working on our homework for the week. Then we worked on something about filming .D.A.R.E was next on our schedual.
