Friday Assembly

Today
Today we multiplied decimals with tenths. Right before the class was going to mark math Mrs. Bland called the leadership kids to go in the gym and help with pals. Pals are for pre school kids to explore the Elementary school. In math we are playing a game with partners and they are playing it with tiles. It looks very interesting. After this I think we have a test for science on simple machines like pulleys, levers and wedges. Than it is going to be recess. Lots of kids play two square and some kids play four square and now that the snow is gone we can play on the playground. After we go inside there is an assembly at 11:15.I am going to take some pictures. Some people are going to record it. It is about school rules. The grade six and sevens are going to put on some skits. Then we have a Guided reading meeting. Guided reading is when there is a group of teachers that take a group of students and help them get better at reading. Before art and P.E. the class marks homework our home end of the day. Then we have art and P.E. In P.E. It is games day today. That means we get to pick the game. I do not know what we are doing for art. Oh yah I almost forgot we have another assembly about the gold rush. I think it will be very interesting. Today was an interesting.

This is our spring special edition of today’s BLOG. Katelyn and I were very Lucky and got to see some action of flag and tackle football with the grade 7 class. If you look to the right you will see Mr. Lane talking to the grade seven’s about football. You will see Bryan and Connor tackling. You also will see Jake on the ground. Like a big fight check this out!
This is our SPRING edition of today’s BLOG. Spring started on a very rainy day on March 21, 2007. Apparently a baby lamb was born Jones Farm. Most of you would think of Jones Market; but it’s a beautiful farm where a lamb was born. The robins are the first sign of spring. There are also bees and bear out. So be Careful for your safety
The flowers in my yard are blooming. Yes I would say spring is here.
Well it’s getting warmer out so a lot of people are working outdoors, playing sports and more. When I say working outdoors I mean weeding, planting flowers, painting and more. When I say sports I mean baseball, soccer, rugby, football, biking, walking, hiking, scootering, skateboarding, and more.

Fractions

Learning

Today is March 28, 2007. In math we are changing fractions into division statements and vice versa, plus decimals into division statements. In P.E. we played raquette ball and floor hockey, it was great. During science we are working on a topic called Simple Machines, today we were learning about screws and how they are inserted by turning. We made screws by using a triangular piece of paper,
Then we put a pencil at the widest edge, and then we rolled it and marked around it, when we opened it, and the line was an inclined plane. Then we went to our guided reading groups. Then we wrote a paragraph about the ST. Patrick’s dance.

Here is something I wrote about when I was in Mexico.
Tyler

Monday

On Monday it was my first day in Mexico. We caught crabs and
Saw jellyfish. Dylan Harder and me played shuffleboard it was my first
Time ever to play; I was really good at it. The ocean was really cold at
First it took a while to get used to it then it felt nice. The water park
Was really big and there was lots of water slides. I liked the slide with
Bucket, it filled up with water then the water gets dumped on you. For
Dinner we went to the Italian restaurant. I had chicken nuggets and fries
It was pretty good. When Riley and me were on the rocks we saw a
Tarantula. I drank about 10 strawberry dakeries a day. My dad and me
buried Callie and Ashley in the sand. On Monday it was my first day in
Mexico.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we went to swim with the dolphins. Our dolphins’
Name was Poseidon the trainer said he was the best dolphin there. He
Was really friendly, at the water park there were 9 dolphins. The trainer
At the water park said that dolphins in captivity live until 30 to 40 years
Old. At the end of the swim we got goggles and we could listen to them
Speak under water. Before we went in the water we got our picture taken
With a sea lion, he smelled like dead fish. We got to ride on boogie boards
And the dolphins pushed you they felt like rubber it was really cool. The
Dolphins eat tons and tons of fish. We also got to ride on their backs. For
Dinner we went to the Japanese restaurant. On Tuesday we went to swim
With the dolphins.
